Not a lot going on here, and what does is mostly personal, so this journal is friends only. Comment if you're really that curious.

9-8-08 ETA: Hey all, public journal is now over here. Friend or ignore at will.

Hey. I just wanted to drop by - you didn't give me an opportunity to respond to you over on claireweasely's LJ. Which I can understand, it's her space, and perhaps not the best place to hash anything out.

I wanted to say that, taken out of context, I can understand how you feel about my diaf comment. I agree that it's probably way too harsh for this particular instance, and I want to make it clear, in case it's not, that no, I don't ACTUALLY WANT anyone to "die in a fire." It's become an Internet expression of frustration.

I have my own issues with the person who made the post that claireweasley was reacting to. She has exhibited behavior in the past that frustrates the hell out of me. This is just another in a long line of examples.

I took part in the LynZ love bomb. I did so because I saw other fans behaving horribly toward her, and wanted to do something positive. I and everyone else that took part in it did so with the supreme best intentions: we wanted to make someone feel good. Then, this person that I have seen behave badly in the past came along and criticized it. We were trying to make someone feel good. And even THERE - even IN THAT - she found something to criticize.

My reaction was pure unbridled "GNAAAARGH" frustration. In retrospect, I do regret saying that. I shall comment as such over there. impertinence frustrates the hell out of me and I wish I hadn't gone looking for her post after I saw claireweasley's reaction. I do my level best to stick to my side of the fandom and avoid hers; she and I will simply never see eye-to-eye on things, and I think the best thing to do here is to play in our own sandboxes.

I do regret if I offended you, and if I've made you think less of me. If you wish to discuss this further, I am open to that. If you wish to delete this comment and not have any further interactions, I am at peace with that option as well. I leave it to you.
